Ragging has destroyed many innocent lives and careers. To eliminate this, the Supreme Court issued guidelines in Civil Appeal No. 887 of 2009, mandating the creation of a Central Crisis Hotline and Anti-Ragging database. Following these orders, the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India established the website www.antiragging.in. UGC regulations require every student and their parents to submit an “Anti-Ragging Affidavit” during admission and annually at registration. Therefore, all students, particularly first-year B.A. and B.Sc. (Hons and General) students, must complete the anti-ragging form available online at www.antiragging.in.
Additionally, only students who complete the “Anti-Ragging Affidavit” online will be eligible for registration under Vidya Sagar University. Please refer to the Information Pack for more details on ragging and the regulations.
