The Central Library of Government General Degree College, Narayangarh is a learning resource center catering to the ever-growing and uncompromising information and intellectual requirements of the students and faculty. Located in an extremely rural area, the library relies mostly on physical books and comprises nearly 5000 books. Despite this reliance on printed materials, government-supported institutions have made efforts to offer free access to available resources, aligning with the principles of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT), Ministry of Education, Government of India. Although the library doesn’t subscribe to any purchased databases, it provides access to free databases primarily created by the Ministry of Education. During the pandemic period, when students could not access physical books, the library facilitated access to digital resources such as E-gyankosh, Consortium for Educational Communication, e-PG Pathshala, West Bengal Public Libraries Network, Swayamprabha, and the National Digital Library of India.
