বিদ্যালয়ের আঙিনা ছেড়ে মহাবিদ্যালয়ের বিস্তৃত জগতে প্রবেশের বিশেষ ক্ষণ ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের মনে এক অনন্য অনুভূতির জন্ম দেয়। জীবনের সমরাঙ্গনে প্রথম ধাপ এই নতুন অধ্যায়। পাঠ্যবইয়ের শিক্ষা এখানে পরিপূর্ণতা পায় বহুমুখী জগতের সান্নিধ্যে। স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই জীবন সংগ্রামের এই রকম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সন্ধিক্ষণে প্রয়োজন এমন এক সুন্দর পরিবেশের যেখানে শাসন আর প্রশ্রয়ের অভিভাবকসুলভ ছত্রছায়ায় এই সুকুমারমতি তরুণ প্রাণগুলি যথাযথভাবে প্রস্ফুটিত হতে পারে। আদিগন্ত বিস্তৃত সবুজের মনোরমের মাঝে স্থাপিত আমাদের মহাবিদ্যালয় প্রাঙ্গন এইসব তরতাজা জীবনকে সঠিকভাবে লালন করে বৃহত্তর জগতে লড়াইয়ে সম্মুখীন করানোর জন্য প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ। নাগরিক জীবনের কলুষ ও কোলাহল থেকে বহুদূরে নির্মল গ্রামীন পরিবেশে সমস্ত রকমের আধুনিক সুযোগ সুবিধা সমৃদ্ধ এই প্রতিস্ঠান বাস্তবিক অর্থেই সর্বাঙ্গীন শিক্ষার এক উপযুক্ত পাঠশালা। রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে আসা সুযোগ্য শিক্ষকদের স্নেহভরা পাঠদান এই মহাবিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান আকর্ষণ। তাঁদের অভিজ্ঞতা আর পাণ্ডিত্য শিক্ষার্থীদের সামনে সন্ধান দেয় সেই জগতের যেখানে শিক্ষার অর্থ অপার আনন্দ আর এর উদ্দেশ্য আত্মোপলব্ধি। এই ভালোলাগার জায়গা থেকে শিক্ষার্থীরা খুব সহজেই কর্মজীবনে সহজভাবে সফল হবার জাদুকাঠিটি খুঁজে পায়।মানুষ গড়ার এই মহতী উদ্যোগে তাই সবাইকে জানাই সাদর আমন্ত্রণ। আপনাদের ভরসা আর আগ্রহই এই মহাবিদ্যালয়কে ভবিষ্যতের মহীরুহে পরিণত করবে একদিন এ আমার দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস। ভালো থাকুন। সুস্থ থাকুন।

Nestled within the soothing, bucolic beauty of nature in Bhadrakali, Paschim Medinipur, Government General Degree College, Narayangarh, happens to be the newest of all the Government General Degree Colleges in the state of West Bengal.

The words that flow from this pen represent more precisely the cordial emotions& judicious optimism of an affectionate guardian rather than from any invisible administrative position encumbered by archaic protocols &immovable aloofness.

We, at Government General Degree College, Narayangarh, are firmly determined to uphold the promise, the ebullience, and unwavering commitment to exalted ideological values that are so intimately associated with youth.

We started our journey in 2017. Since then, it has mostly been an experience full of edifying adventures and unforgettable joy. To paraphrase the great Roman Statesman and poet, Cicero, I, on behalf of GGDC, Narayangarh, can happily aver that “what we lack in experience, we make up for in diligence” and our steadfast resolve to take the burning wick of education to the darkest and the farthest limits of our reach, thereby spreading the alchemic light of wisdom, reason and scholarship to the last person of society to whom it was hitherto unavailable.

Our College campus spreads over an area of fifteen (15) acres of land. It is here that our teachers and other staff, with the patronage of the state Government of West Bengal, have religiously built an atmosphere that is eminently conducive to the thriving and nourishment of education & its core values. Here, we aim at encouraging students to explore and showcase their best selves with the powerful tools of learning. Thus, instead of becoming lame followers& unimaginative copycats, our students are encouraged to cultivate insight and prescient vision that- it is hoped- will enable them to become future leaders in all the spheres of life that they choose to tread on.

Government General Degree College, Narayangarh, constantly strives to aspire beyond the obvious and the hackneyed. Our Collegeendeavors to empower the students in myriad ways by expanding & multiplying the realms of theirexposure to modern innovations and developments. Through the various co-curricular activities& other collective learning forums like seminars, conferences and workshopsin which the students are actively encouraged to participate, the College plays a proactive role in nation-building by offering to the National Cause, generations of young, zealous citizens- liberated in mind, dauntless in spirit, selfless in temperament and complete in every positive way imaginable.

The College sports a large playground along with dedicated/earmarked areas for the practice of games like Badminton, Volleyball and cricket. There are two air-conditioned gymnasiums within the college premises, one for the boys and the other for girls. These proudly stand as a reflection of our resolve to live out the timeless wisdom embedded in the ancient Latin phrase, “Mens sana in corpora sano” (a sound mind in a sound body).
