About Botany

As an undergraduate college, the Department of Botany offered only as generic elective subject of 3-year B.Sc. program. The Under Graduation course in Botany as a generic subject started in 2017. Botany department follows the CCFUP/NEP 2023-24 syllabus and examination rules of Vidyasagar University. The dedicated and well-experienced faculties of this department give much time to explain the chapters to students in a lucid way. This department has a well-equipped laboratory and a seminar library which are constantly updated. Considering the Bengali medium background of most of the students, teachers take extra care to analyse texts in details following bi-lingual method.
