NSS
NSS is an education extension programme that aids the student-volunteers acquire practical
education through social work. Presently college has one NSS Unit and there is a separate office of NSS, College Units, in the campus. Students wishing to be a part of NSS, need to register themselves from the NSS office. The registered participants take part in all the activities of the NSS under the guidance of the programme officers. Activities are held before and after class hours and on holidays.
On campus Programmes include:
- • Awareness building of NSS volunteers on various social issues.
- • Environment programmes and campus cleaning activities.
- • First-aid training.
- • Celebration of different events and NSS week.
Some of the off-campus programmes include:
- • Programmes in adopted villages.
- • Aiding in different relief programmes.
- • Conducting rallies and campaigning programmes to create social awareness against
prejudices, discrimination of different kinds, various diseases or epidemics as and when required.
